I think that the real value of a piece of fashion is not its use value as a commodity nor its resale value, but the emotional value I have invested in it, all my memories, my experiences while wearing it. You can’t put a price tag on that.

It is a pity that too often those stories get lost in the transaction, turning these pieces of fashion into plain commodities: a shoe, a jacket, a bag, nothing more.
